Thompson, Jr., age 78, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice.David was born on February 12, 1948, in Griffin, Georgia. His parents, David Sidney Thompson, Sr. and Lena Coussons Thompson; sisters, Bobbie Ann Mason (Charles) and Margaret Deal; longtime companion Patricia Tucker, all preceded him in death. David worked many years as a general contractor and was a member of West Sunny Side Church. David loved playing the piano and had a style all his own. Those moments around the piano are memories his family and friends will always treasure.Survivors include his son, Patrick Thompson (Robin); daughter, Dawn Craig (Jeremy); grandchildren, Cole Thompson (Haley), Gage Thompson (Georgia), Carson Craig, Carrie Thompson, Lena Craig and Waylon Thompson; great-grandchild, Kasen; sisters, Joyce Blackmon and Alice Shavers; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.Read The Full Obituary
