David Robert Beauregard, 83, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife, Kristin W. Beauregard, and his children.
Born on July 31, 1942, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to Gerard and Helen Beauregard, David grew up speaking English, French, and Portuguese. Naturally left-handed yet taught to write with his right hand, he displayed an early intelligence, resourcefulness, and fierce determination to succeed. After graduating from high school, he served four years as a medic in the Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Marshall University and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant.
His professional path led him to Atlanta, Georgia, and eventually Richmond, Virginia, where he served for many years as Senior Manager with Arthur Young and later Ernst & Young. He earned a Master’s Degree in Accountancy from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to found multiple healthcare consulting groups. Widely regarded as a subject matter expert by healthcare executives and private equity investors, David approached his work with a patient-first philosophy, championing innovation and excellence in every system he managed.
Above all, David cherished his role as a father, taking immense joy in his children and their accomplishments. A lifelong learner and natural teacher, he generously shared his knowledge and wisdom with friends and colleagues. His loud, infectious laugh, boundless curiosity, and dedication to daily fitness at the YMCA were among his most memorable traits. A devout Catholic, he attended Mass weekly and served on the board of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond, as well as the boards of the YMCA and Marshall University’s Brad Smith College of Business. In recent years, he found deep fulfillment teaching college courses at the Virginia Military Institute.
