David Richard Lane

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Richard Lane in Winston Salem, North Carolina, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, David is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that David's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Lane and Betty Tucker Lane. He is survived by: his brother John Lane (Susan); his children, Kasey Scott (Brandon), Kristen Wooten (Avery) and Ryan Lane; and his grandchildren, Harper Scott, Scarlett Sparks, Magnolia Sparks and Colton Scott (Michele Williams).

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Midstate Cremation and Funeral Service (304 Lanier Ave, Asheboro, NC 27203).
