David Rice

David Rice, 62, of Sharpsville, passed away on March 8, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Brookfield Township, Ohio.

Born on March 9, 1963, in Sharon, he was the son of the late Richard Rice, Sr. and Evelyn (Rainey) Chesmar. A 1981 graduate of Sharpsville High School, David owned and operated Rice Carpet and Flooring in Hermitage and Harvest Beer and Wine Supplies in Sharon. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6166, in Hermitage.

An avid hunter, David cherished his time at camp in Warren County, Pennsylvania. He also found great joy in riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. Above all, he was devoted to his family and his three beloved German Shepherds.

He is survived by his wife, Frances (Rossi) Rice, whom he married on August 12, 1995; two grandchildren, Angeleena Medovich and Domynik Ace; and his sister, Margaret Johnson, of Sharon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Nikole Rice, and a brother and sister.
