Ball, 94, of Bennett State Road, Forestville, died Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Father Baker Manor in Orchard Park. He was born in Forestville on July 27, 1931, the son of the late Howard and Alice Ball.David was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1949. He received his Associates degree in Engineering from Alfred State College and worked as a Pressman at the former Great Lakes Color Printing in Dunkirk for approximately 35 years, until their closing in 1990.David enjoyed going to car auctions with his son and working around the farm.Survivors include his son Jeffrey (Laura) Ball of Forestville. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Natalie (Demetri) Ball-Shakray of Westfield and Ashley (Matt Haintz) Ball, Justin & Jason Ricotta, all of Fredonia and two great grandchildren; Nora & Aaron Shakray. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, of 67 years, Joyce (Congdon) Ball, whom he married on July 17, 1952 in Forestville and who died on January 25, 2020, his daughter Susan L. Ricotta who died June 21, 2013 and two brothers; Charles & Roger D. Ball.Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday (3/9) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, from where funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. Bruce Ellis, pastor of Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating.
