He was born on June 3, 1956 to the late Robert Lee Pritchett and Vernelle Crist Pritchett. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Vaughan Pritchett. David is survived by his children, Lauren (and Stephen) Merica, Brandon (and Stephanie) Pritchett, grandchildren Liam and Savannah Merica and Brianna, Skylar and Ava Pritchett.David will be remembered most for the deep love he had for his family and the simple things that brought him joy. He was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and rarely missed cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers football and men's basketball teams. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting and the unmistakable sound of his dogs running through the woods-a sound that always brought a smile to his face.David's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who knew and loved him.The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hill & Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20th at Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial following at Riverview Cemetery.
