David Norman Schostek

David Norman Schostek of Aurora, born March 27, 1938, passed away on March 14, 2026. A proud graduate of St. Ignatius High School and attendee of John Carroll University, he was inducted into the Army in 1961 and served in the Ohio National Guard until 1963.

He shared 63 years of marriage with his beloved wife Marianne, née Kappenhagen, whom he wed on August 25, 1962. David was a devoted father to Daniel (the late Lisa), Tom (Lisa), and the late Terence Schostek, and a cherished grandfather to Stephen, Matthew, Emily, Anna, Sasha, and Maryanne. He is also survived by his dear brother Don (Mary Lou) Schostek.

Throughout his career at General Motors, David rose to the position of manager of education and training before retiring. He generously gave his time as a coach for CYO basketball and Little League baseball. An avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan, he found joy in gardening, spending time at Hilton Head Island, and playing golf.
