Grand Prairie, TX
David Morquecho, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on May 3, 1955, in Karnes City, Texas, he was a kindhearted man whose gentle presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone around him.
David was known for his caring and generous spirit. He treated family, friends, and strangers alike with genuine kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a smile, or speak a few encouraging words. His compassion came naturally and defined the way he moved through the world.
Family was at the center of David’s life. He deeply loved and cherished his nieces and nephews, taking great pride in staying close to them. He never forgot a birthday, always making a point to call and make each person feel special. When he reached out, he would often say with quiet humility, “I’m just trying to do my best,” a simple phrase that reflected the sincere and modest way he lived.
He found joy in life’s quieter pleasures, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and spending peaceful time at home or enjoying a movie on his own. David is survived by his siblings Connie Cervantez, Martin Morquecho, Hirma Mandujano and her husband Jose Antonio Mandujano, and Juan Manuel Garcia, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews Angelica Cervantez, Cristela Cervantez, Roxane Cervantez, Carlos Antonio Mandujano, Jose Antonio Mandujano, Orlando Mandujano, and Rebecca Carmela Botello. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crispin Morquecho and Maria Morin.
He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the quiet love he shared with those closest to him.
