David M. Thomas, 78, of Fabyan, Connecticut, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born in Webster, Massachusetts, on December 26, 1947, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Mitchell) Thomas.
David co-owned and operated the former George Thomas & Sons Textile Mill in Thompson, Connecticut. A lifelong entrepreneur, he pursued many business ventures throughout his life. He served honorably in the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and was remembered fondly for his kindness, his deep love of animals, and his artistic talent.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Thomas of Cambridge, Massachusetts. David was predeceased by his brother, Paul Thomas, and his sister, Patricia (Thomas) Gibbons.
