David M. Schnetzka

David M. Schnetzka, 76, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 7, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lydia Schnetzka; his daughter, Molly Schnetzka (Mike); his son, Jacob Schnetzka (Dawn); step-grandchildren Caitlin (Colt), Haley, Kara, and Kyle; sisters Hilda Miller and Jacqueline Stohler (Frank); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Schnetzka, and by his sisters Verna Lutz and Mildred Orwig, and brothers Lewis, Harold, Gorman, John, and Eugene Schnetzka.

Dave spent 30 years working at Caterpillar Tractor before retiring and becoming a beloved delivery driver for the True-Value Hardware store in Shrewsbury and Loganville. An avid trapshooter, he competed for many years in the York County and Northern Maryland leagues. He took great joy in riding his 1970 Triumph motorcycle and Harley Davidson Road King, later enjoying his Chevy Silverado truck. One of his favorite places was his cottage at Central Oak Heights, where he could often be found driving his golf cart and playfully teasing fellow cottagers. He loved camping, traveling the world with Lydia, watching cowboy movies, and sharing lively conversation with everyone he met. In recent years, his weekly Wednesday breakfast club brought him special happiness. Known for his quick wit and endless supply of nicknames, Dave had a gift for connecting with people. He also gave the ultimate gift by donating his liver through the Gift of Life program.
