David M. Hapner

David M. Hapner, age 74 of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away at the Laurels of Huber Heights on Saturday, February 28, 2026. David was born on June 3, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Franklin & M. Jeanette “Janie” (Bolen) Hapner.

David had retired from Miami Valley Hospital after working as a surgery technician for many years. He was an avid racing fan including NASCAR, Indy and drag racing. David was also an avid Chicago Bears fan and Cincinnati Reds fan.

Survived by his wife of 24 years, Marcy L. Hapner; son & daughter-in-law, Jeff & Kris Melton; granddaughters, Erika (Sam), Kassidy, Megan, and Karis; sister & brother-in-law, Diana & Tom Combs; nephews & nieces, April (John) Conley, Nathan (Jennifer), Amanda, Samantha, and Dawn; great nephews & nieces, Macee, Khloee, Alex, Madison, Savannah, Owen, and Charlotte; several cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio. Interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the services.
