David Leon Myers

David Leon Myers, age 81, of Cloverdale, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. Born on August 2, 1944, in Gosport, Indiana, he lived a life centered on his deep devotion to family, a lifelong love of music, and unwavering loyalty to his favorite Indiana sports teams.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Matthews; grandchildren Megan Holland (Mitch) and Michael Matthews; great-grandchildren Ben Holland and Reece Holland; and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bernardine Myers, and his siblings, Maxine, Nila, and Larry.

David was an accomplished guitarist whose playing brought genuine joy to family and friends. A dedicated supporter of Indiana Hoosiers basketball and the Indiana Pacers, he cheered for his teams with enthusiasm and pride. Above all, he cherished his role as a steady, loving grandfather whose warmth and character left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

David Leon Myers will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by the family who loved him dearly. He lived with a quiet faith that sustained him throughout his life. As he often said, “God is good.”
