He was born November 15, 1958 in Seymour to David G. and Dorothy Mae Engelau Manuel. He lived most of his life in Bartholomew County, graduating from Columbus North High School before proudly served his country in the US Navy.David enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool at the Moose Lodge and playing cards. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and also in the VFW.Surviving to cherish David's memories are his sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Brad Lucas, his brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Cindy Manuel, nephews and nieces, Andy and Patricia Lucas, Christopher and Fen Lucas, Kevin and Kim Manuel, Kollin and Emma Manuel, Dustin and Sara, Jacob and Fancy, Delaney and Jacob, and many great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A Celebration of David's life will be held at the Seymour Moose Lodge from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery - Borchers. Memorials may be given in David's memory to The Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center in Seymour.
