David Lamar Thompson

David Lamar Thompson, age 96, of LaGrange, passed away on March 10, 2026.

Born and raised in the area, David lived a long and full life marked by quiet strength and deep commitment to his community. He served his country with honor in the military and remained a dedicated Mason throughout his years. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his kindness, and the pride he took in his Masonic brotherhood and his support of children’s causes.

He is survived by his loving family, who will carry forward the values of service and integrity that defined his life. A graveside service with military honors and Masonic rites was held at Shadowlawn Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory were directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
