David L. Hoffman

David L. Hoffman, 89, born in Newark, New Jersey on May 30, 1936, passed away peacefully at his home in Connecticut on March 11, 2026. A proud graduate of Dartmouth College (Class of 1958) and the Amos Tuck School of Business (Class of 1959), he built a distinguished career as a New York City real estate executive. Colleagues and competitors alike respected and admired him for his authenticity and steadfast integrity.

Above all, David was deeply devoted to his family. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren at home in Connecticut and in Sun Valley, Idaho. His love of family, quick wit, and exceptional moral character will continue to inspire and guide his loved ones for generations.

He is survived by his children, David Jr., Susan, Cathy, and Matthew, their spouses, and his beloved grandchildren and step-grandchildren. David will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who loved him.
