David L. Diehl
June 29, 1964— March 6, 2026
Fairview, PA
David L. “Day Day” Diehl of Fairview passed away peacefully at the age of 61 on Friday, March 6, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 29, 1964 in Conneaut, Ohio, he graduated from Northwestern High School in 1982 with a Tool and Die degree from Erie County Technical School. He worked at several mold shops before founding Reliant Molding in Cranesville, Pennsylvania in 1994, a business he continued to operate with dedication until his final days.
David was known for his unmistakable mullet, which he had worn since 2000. He approached everything he loved with genuine passion, whether watching scary movies, listening to music with his grandchildren, or tending to his extensive collections of watches, toys, trinkets, and pens. His warmth and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, David G. Diehl, his granddaughter Addalie Diehl, and his father-in-law, James Connor.
David is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Julie Diehl; his mother, Judy Diehl; two sons, Addison Diehl and Ashton (Ashley) Diehl; two daughters, Ariel (Jesse) Grimm and Alyssa (Anthony) Zampino; a brother, Brian (Stephanie) Diehl; two sisters, Lori (Greg) Adamson and Connie (Paul) Petrianni; his mother-in-law, Eva Joyce Connor; and grandchildren Avrey, Ryland, Trayton, Sara, Hunter, Oliver, Rachel, Max, Daylen, and Lennox, along with several nieces and nephews. The family extends deep gratitude to Aseracare Hospice of Erie and the special aides who supported them, Lisa, Sue, and Jen.
