David James Wheeler

David James Wheeler, age 18, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on November 25, 2007, in Smyrna, Tennessee, to Anthony Jay and Carrie Ann Eimen Wheeler, David brought a bright and inquisitive spirit into the lives of all who knew him.

He took genuine pleasure in working on his car, a pursuit that reflected his hands-on nature and his deep curiosity about how things worked. David also found joy in video games, where he connected with friends, building lasting bonds and creating cherished memories through shared adventures in digital worlds.

A senior at Shelbyville Central High School, David was a vibrant young man whose presence touched many. He is survived by his parents, Anthony Jay and Carrie Ann Wheeler; his sister, Isabelle Wheeler; his paternal grandmother, Darleen Wheeler; his maternal grandfather, James Eimen; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
