David A. Hughes, known affectionately as Davey, was born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on October 11, 1961, and passed away on March 14, 2026.
Predeceased by his parents, Grover Cleveland Hughes, Sr. and Anna Marie (Andrew) Hughes, and his brother Grover Cleveland Hughes Jr., Davey is survived by his brother Jeff Hughes and sister-in-law Tanya Hughes, along with numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
A lifelong carpenter, Davey took pride in his skilled craftsmanship. He remained a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Orioles throughout his life, finding joy in following his favorite teams.
A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
