David Henry Valley
July 13, 1968— March 5, 2026
Pittsfield, NH
David Henry Valley, 57, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 5, 2026. Born on July 13, 1968, in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of Monique Marie (Levasseur) Valley and the late Henry John Valley. Raised in Pembroke, Dave built a career as a self-employed floor installer, taking pride in his skilled craftsmanship and the quality of his work.
Music remained a lifelong passion for Dave. A talented musician, he played guitar and drums, sang, and often referred to himself as a “one-man band.” He cherished the times spent playing with his basement band friends, especially his best friend, Larry, and found joy in both performing and listening to 80’s rock and classic country. At home, he devoted many hours to his garden, growing vegetables with particular care for his corn. He took pleasure in sharing his harvest with family and friends and maintained his home with the same thoughtful attention inside and out.
Dave found simple contentment in everyday pleasures. He enjoyed watching All in the Family and The Three Stooges, loved to cook—especially grilling a good steak—and treasured his time at the beach with his longtime girlfriend, Gail, where they shared seafood and his favorite fresh scallops. Above all, he was someone others could always count on. With his gentle humor, easy laughter, and timely words of encouragement, Dave lifted the spirits of those around him. A quiet homebody, he loved his family deeply and will be remembered as a kind and generous man.
He is survived by his mother, Monique Valley; his daughter, Felicia Mandigo; his girlfriend of 18 years, Gail Gilman; his brothers, Rick and Tim Valley; his grandchildren, Christy Brown, Kamrin Brown, and Arkoneis Parks; and his niece, Ty Valley.
