David Eugene Womack

David Eugene Womack, 65, of Arkabutla, Mississippi, and a longtime resident of Hernando, Mississippi, passed away on March 7, 2026.

Born and raised in the area, David attended Hernando High School. On December 12, 1987, he married Mandy Braswell Womack of Hernando, the love of his life. Together they built a devoted family and shared many years of love and cherished memories. David worked as a General Superintendent for Grinder, Taber & Grinder in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning his career with the company in 2008 and serving faithfully for eighteen years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mandy Womack; his children, Melody Usdan (Greg), Tabitha Scott, Erica Acevedo (David), Allison Womack (Brandon Hughey), and Matt Womack (Danielle Festino); his brother, Ricky Womack (Cindy); his sister, Patsy Taylor (Ed); and his proud grandchildren, Nathan Hall, Ari Usdan, Simon Usdan, Josephina Acevedo, and Ember Acevedo.

David was preceded in death by his father, Grover Eugene Womack, and his mother, Jonelle Reed Womack. He will be remembered for his deep dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many lives he touched.
