David Douglas Spencer

David Douglas Spencer, 44, of Troy, passed away on March 7, 2026 at home. Born in Albany, New York, he was the son of Douglas and Mary Ann (Madden) Spencer.

A graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush and SUNY Albany, Dave built a career in IT support at SUNY Albany. He possessed a deep love for music, crafted and played guitars, and cherished cross-country travels that allowed him to explore new places. He took special delight in visits from his nieces and nephew, who adored their uncle and considered him the coolest.

David was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Mary Ann; his sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Rick Tripi; and his nieces and nephew, Vivian, Emmeline, and Milo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including Josh and Emily, and Woody, Katherine, and Willa, whose company he greatly enjoyed.
