David Doherty

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Doherty of Sandwich, Illinois, who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to David's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration David has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Inscho Doherty and Jack Doherty; his brother John Patrick Doherty; and his son Sean Patrick Doherty. He is survived by: his wife Denise Beck; his children, Anastasia (Tom Serio), Kevin Doherty (Alyse), Deborah and Lillian Hicks; his brother Dennis Doherty; and his caregiver Kathleen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beverage Family Funeral Home (104 Terry St, Sandwich, IL 60548). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (340 W Arnold St, Sandwich, IL 60548).
