David Devere Morris

David Devere Morris, 61, of Ewing, New Jersey, entered into rest on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born in Saint Peter, Barbados, on August 25, 1964, David moved to Asbury Park, New Jersey, at the age of ten. He later lived in Neptune and Wrightstown before making his home in Ewing in 2010. In his early years he worked in numerous restaurants, and since 2005 he had been a dedicated overnight employee at BJ’s. He found joy in photography, fishing, cooking, and gardening, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by the family he cherished most: his wife, Fengyi Ko Morris; his children, David, Octavia, Jennifer, Olivia, Noelle, and Kaylie; and his son-in-law, Darius Hargis. He adored his grandchildren, Xavier, Isaiah, Paris, Naomi, Malia, Novah, London, and Prince, and is remembered with deep affection by many other family members and friends.

He leaves this world in peace, surrounded by the love he created.
