David “Dave” Woodrow Carlson

David “Dave” Woodrow Carlson, 79, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Villa St. Vincent.

Born in Crookston to Woodrow and Stella Carlson, Dave graduated from Crookston Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968, including a tour in Korea in support of the Vietnam War. For many years he worked as a truck driver for Jacobson Oil Transport and Harvey Boucher. He remained an active member of the local VFW and proudly served in the Honor Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woody and Stella Carlson; his sisters, Donna Middleton and Shirley Carlson; his brother-in-law, John Abeld; his nephew, Marc Middleton; and his niece, Tracy Amiot.

Dave is survived by his brother, Dennis Carlson; his sister, Carol Abeld; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew. His family will always remember his steadfast presence and quiet dedication to those he loved.
