David is a beloved father, grandfather, coach, and friend, known affectionately as "Pop" to his family. David enjoyed the beach, he and his wife, Cindy, moved to Surfside Beach 6 years ago. He was a member of Surfside United Methodist Church. He coached football and basketball for St. James Middle School. A lifelong sports fan, David was especially passionate about Notre Dame football and the Boston Celtics. He was known for his great sense of humor and his playful spirit, always ready with a harmless prank. His happiness was genuine, making every one love him.Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cindy Myers; sons, Nicholas Bunch (Bethany), Nathan Myers (Carissa), Noah Myers (Ellie Hardman); grandchildren, Cody Bunch, Nora Bunch, Carson Bunch, Calum Myers, Lium Myers, Tatum Myers; parents, Charles and Jo Ann Myers; siblings, Charles Myers Jr., Marcee Addington (Eric), Amy Vowell, Marc Myers (Robin), Jo Ann Brown (Doug), and Michael Myers (Michelle).Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.A Memorial Service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
