It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David C. McCarthy Sr. of Oneida, New York, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McCarthy and Margaret Whittaker McCarthy; his wife Donna Vinehout; his daughter Pamela McCarthy; and his brothers, Rick, John, Michael and Joseph McCarthy.

He is survived by: his children, Nicole McCarthy of Oneida and David C. McCarthy of Oneida; his grandchildren, Brittany Rattray (Justin), Lucas McCarthy, Jai Williams, Jessica Strong, Dale Ortlieb and Chase Ortlieb; his great grandchildren, Eli and Cole Rattray; and his siblings, Mary McCarthy, Alan, Dennis (Sue), Kevin and Patrick McCarthy. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (1193 Fairview Ave, Oneida, NY 13421).
