David Ferch ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Peterson Chapel – Buffalo on Mar. 9, 2026.January 9, 1938 – March 5, 2026David Arthur Ferch, age 88, of Greenfield passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.He was born on January 9, 1938 the son of Arthur and Gladys (Gifford) Ferch.David retired from the MTC as a supervisor after 40 years of service.He was a very active member of The Minnesota Region AACA(50+ years) as well as a past president and a former editor of their magazine. He was also a past president of the Twin Cities Chapter of MAFCA.He formerly sang with the Apollo Club's Men's Chorus(2 nd Tenor). He was an initial member and operator of the Como-Harriet streetcar line at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. He especially enjoyed his 1915 Ford Model T and his various cat friends over the years.Preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Marlys Menefee.Survived by his loving wife: Sharon J. Ferch; children: Debbie (Brian) Freed, Cheryl (Peter) Solt, Toni Ferch and special friend John Seekamp and Peter Ferch; two grandchildren: April Solt and Dwayne Solt. He is also survived by his most recent cat Muffin.Funeral service 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 21th Riverwood Covenant Church, 7189 69th Avenue N., Rockford, MN 55373. Visitation one hour prior to services AT THE CHURCH.The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
