Gillette, WY
David Andrew Young, 41, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
Born in Beeville, Texas, David grew up in Casper, Wyoming, a place he loved deeply and always spoke of with pride. He worked as an electrician, a trade he learned from his uncle Vinny, who instilled in him strong skills and a dedicated work ethic. Dave had a natural talent for fixing things and was always willing to lend a hand. Beyond his profession, he was a gifted artist whose drawings impressed everyone who saw them.
In 2015, while working as an electrician on the construction of the new school in Moorcroft, Wyoming, Dave met McKayla, who became the love of his life. He moved to Gillette in 2016 to be with her, and they married on October 24, 2016, building a life together rooted in love, friendship, and family.
Dave found joy in playing Call of Duty on his Xbox, golfing, and cheering for his beloved Rams and Cardinals teams. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, his easy way of making others feel comfortable, and his readiness to help. He had a playful, goofy spirit and a warm, contagious laugh that could light up any room. Above all, Dave cherished his family.
He is survived by his wife McKayla Young, whom he lovingly called his “Bubbies Girl,” his children Madison, Marcus, Dax, and Ryker, and his stepchildren David Lang, Chandler Nobach, and Carson Nobach. He was a proud grandfather to his grandson Kayce. He is also survived by his parents, Rick and Tami Young, his grandfather Earle Meade, six uncles, one aunt, and many cousins.
