David Allen Bloss, a man of strong will and enduring spirit, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi, Wisconsin. Born on August 22, 1955, to LaVern "Barney" and Orene (Hageness) Bloss.
David graduated from Mondovi High School before furthering his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts. His passion for cooking was well known among family and friends, as was his love for music—he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, sharing these gifts with those around him.
For the majority of his life, David dedicated himself to a career as a semi-truck driver, a profession that spoke to his strong work ethic and love for the open road. Those who knew him respected his determined nature and his ability to face challenges head-on.
David is survived by his daughters Sarah and Carrie, and his cherished grandchildren Hannah, Elijah, and Dylan. His family circle also includes his sister Susan (John) Loomis and brother Michael (Debra) Bloss, along with many neices, nephews and cousins. The bonds he shared with his living family members were a source of great pride and joy to him.
David was preceded in death by his brothers Jim, Bob, and Bill, as well as his sisters Mary Jo and Sylvia, and his parents whose memories he held dear.
