David Alan Lyon, born in Moberly, Missouri on October 26, 1953, passed away at his home in Gonzales, Louisiana on March 11, 2026, at the age of 72.
David cherished the time he spent with his family. He especially loved traveling and riding his motorcycle alongside his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rene Lyon; his children, Caleb Lyon, Jared Lyon, Garrett Lyon, Alyson Lyon, and Chloe Bishop, whom he raised as his own daughter; his grandchildren, Jenna Lyon, Spencer Lyon, Emerlyn Lyon, Rettley Lyon, Marion Lyon, John Lyon, Karson Severio, Larry Wes Severio, Waylon Severio, Christian Broussard, Trinity Januchowski, and Kaydence Noble; and his parents, Robert “Bob” Lyon and Marilyn Simcoe Lyon.
David was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Adalida Lyon.
