David A Lakamp

David A. Lakamp, beloved husband of Mary Lakamp (née Carlier) for 61 years, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 83.

A devoted family man, he was the loving father of Matthew (Lisa) Lakamp and Lynne (Joseph C.) DiMuzio. He cherished his role as grandfather to Joseph A. (Kourtney) DiMuzio and Samantha (Samuel) Blake. David is also survived by his brother William Lakamp, his sister Jean (Ken) Hetzer, and his late sister Amy Lakamp. He was the brother-in-law of Jerry Russell and the late Ruth Ann Russell, and a cherished uncle to Jay, Mark Russell, Claudia Waller, and Libby Hassenpflug. He is remembered as the dear companion of his best friend, Ranger.

Throughout his life, David’s quiet strength, steadfast love for his family, and gentle spirit touched all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he held closest.
