Davian Kejuan Nicholas was born on May 28, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and passed away on March 8, 2026. A bright and loving child with a beautiful smile and a kind heart, Davian brought happiness to everyone around him and will always be remembered for the light he carried into every room.
He possessed a curious mind and a big imagination, often speaking about life being infinite beyond the galaxy and mankind. Davian had a naturally gentle spirit and took special joy in nurturing and caring for younger children. He attended Tanners Creek Elementary School in Norfolk, Virginia, and Shannon Hills Elementary School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he especially loved math and science and held a particular fascination with numbers.
Davian enjoyed seafood, playing basketball, and video games. He dreamed of becoming a professional gamer and working at a bank one day. He took great delight in cooking pancakes, watching his favorite movies Toy Story and The Incredibles, and traveling. He was especially proud of having flown on an airplane by himself since the age of three.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Kamicka Nicholas and David Heffner; five brothers, Ja'Kobi Nicholas, D'Wayne Tumblin, Ja'Khyi Nicholas, Ji'Key Nicholas, and Treyvon Hart Jr., all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one god-sister, Jude Hollins of Dallas, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Tammy N. Smith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; paternal grandparents, Esther Knight and David White of Natchez, Mississippi; eight aunts and five uncles; his godfather, Rodriques Gathier, and godmother, Tameka Polk, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his uncle, David White.
