Davena Kaye Littrell

Davena Kaye Littrell, 79, of New Castle, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Henry Community Health in New Castle. Born on April 17, 1946, in Wayne County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Raymond D. and Margaret (Huddleston) Woolard. Raised on a farm near Millville, Davena learned the value of hard work early in life. She began her career at Henry County Savings and Loan, which later became Ameriana Bank and then First Merchants Bank, where she worked for 50 years before retiring as secretary to the president.

A devoted mother, Davena cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a true friend to everyone she met and was always seeking ways to help others, whether by watching children or preparing meals for those in need. Her kindness and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Brian Bouslog of New Castle; her daughter, Julie (John) Mueller of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren Brant Bouslog, Helen, David Alan, and James Mueller; two sisters, Donna (Randy) Heath of Sun City, Florida, and Doris (Mike) Williams of Cambridge City, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Jackie Woolard of Hagerstown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Woolard.
