Daryl Ritchie ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rullman Hunger Funeral Home - Aurora on Mar. 17, 2026.Daryl Ritchie, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on March 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.Daryl was known for a personality that could light up a room and a spirit that made people feel at ease. Whether it was through a well-timed comment, a lot of stubbornness, or simply being present, Daryl had a way of reminding others not to take life too seriously-something those who knew him will never forget. Daryl loved spending time with his family, working at the fair when he was younger, cooking, playing video games, watching wrestling and going to his favorite spot in Tennessee.Daryl was preceded in death by parents Clyde and Ruth Ritchie (Gulley), as well as siblings Paul Ritchie and Russel "Andy" Ritchie.Daryl is survived by siblings Jason Ritchie, Linda Land (Terry Land), and sister-in-law Shirley Ritchie.Daryl's legacy continues through their children and grandchildren: Andera Coyer (Hershal Coyer), with children Adryanna, Maliki, and Joey; Jerriann Sturgill, with son Wyatt Sturgill; Petrina Daniels (Donald Daniels); and Kayla Walston (Austin Walston), with children Payton, Alexander, Tabius, and Alicent Walston.Daryl is also survived by nieces and nephews Cody Ritchie (Robin Ritchie), Cassie Land (Kat Orcutt), Tommy Ritchie, and several others: along with great-nephews George Ritchie and Shawn Ritchie.Daryl will be remembered for his love of family, their strength, and their ability to bring a little humor into everyday life. If there's one thing Darly would want, it's for everyone to hold their loved ones close, share a good laugh, and that in the end, your family and friends are what truly matters. Be kind to each other and remember that life is too short for the little, meaningless things.Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with funeral services immediately following at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.Memorial contributions may be made to Rullman Hunger Funeral Home.
