Darryl R. Brantley

Darryl R. Brantley passed away on March 4, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on November 8, 1961, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Guy V. and Omega Brantley, he remained a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Southeast Senior High School in 1980 and later earned an entry-level certificate in Heating and Cooling from the Kansas City Vocational Technical Education Center.

Darryl began his federal government career in 1981 at the General Services Administration, later transferring to the Federal Building downtown and eventually working at the Fort in Leavenworth, Kansas. Baptized at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, he pursued studies at Seminary school with the goal of becoming a minister. A devoted member of the choir, he found great joy in singing. He also enjoyed exercising, cycling, and had a deep appreciation for cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy V. and Omega Brantley, and his brothers Ronald R. Brantley and Steven A. Brantley, all of Kansas City, Missouri. Darryl is survived by his sisters Sonya L. Anderson, Theresa M. Mabery, and Sherida A. Brantley, and his brothers Craig E. (Sheila) Brantley and Adrian A. (Rachel) Brantley, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
