Darryl Lynn Haley

Darryl Lynn Haley, loving husband, father, and grandfather, 71, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026.

Born to Clint and Faye Haley on November 30, 1954, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Darryl attended Bearden High School. He worked installing electronic filing systems but found his true passion in auto mechanics. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and had a particular fondness for muscle cars, including his cherished 1983 Cutlass. Some of his happiest times were spent at Norris Lake, where he passed many weekends and summers at his grandparents’ boathouse fishing and water skiing. Darryl never met a stranger. His warm, infectious smile and generous spirit drew people to him, and he took genuine pleasure in helping others. Above all, he adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Faye Haley; his brothers, Ken (and wife Kris) Haley and Doug Haley; his nephew, Michael Haley; and his brother-in-law, Barry Goldstein.

Darryl is survived by his wife of more than 47 years, Deborah Haley; sons Joshua Haley and Jeremy Winstead; grandsons Darryl Lee (and wife Shanda) Winstead, Nathan (and wife Amber) Winstead, and Robert (and wife Sarah) Winstead; sister Kathy Goldstein; sister-in-law Sharon Haley; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and their families.
