Darryl E. Mohler, a devoted family man, veteran, and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan. Born on June 21, 1945, in Hollywood, California, he was adopted by Paul and Elizabeth Mohler of Toledo, Ohio, who loved him deeply.

He graduated from Toledo High School in 1963 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Toledo. Darryl then served four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Military Police officer from 1963 to 1967. His discipline and skill were recognized with a Marksman’s award.

After his military service, Darryl found great joy in fishing, golfing, caring for his pets, and traveling, activities that allowed him to create lasting memories with those he loved. He shared a long and steadfast life with his wife, Linda Mohler, who remained by his side with unwavering support.

Darryl is survived by his wife, Linda Mohler; his children, Amanda Mohler, Paul (Tresa) Mohler, and Stephanie Mohler; and his stepchildren, Lynn (Steve) Shooner and Stephen (Angela) Hoeft. He is also survived by cherished grandchildren Melanie (Mel) Mohler, Alexander Mohler, two other granddaughters, and two grandsons, as well as his brother-in-law, Ben (Sandy) Jones, Mick (Carmen) Jones, and many nieces and nephews who held him in great affection. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Mohler; his parents, Paul and Elizabeth Mohler; and his sister-in-law, Patty Carone.
