Darren Milloway, 62, of Tulia, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on January 22, 1964, in Baylor County to Richard and Wanda (Barbee) Milloway, he grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School with the class of 1982. He continued his education at Amarillo College before beginning a long and successful career as a heavy machinery and diesel mechanic. Over the years, Darren worked with dedication and skill for ASCO Equipment, Lone Star Dirt & Paving, Allen Butler Construction, Bee Equipment, and CAT Warren.
Beyond his professional life, Darren was a passionate racing enthusiast who spent many weekends and evenings drag racing across the country in his younger days. He later found great joy supporting local racing teams at the dirt circle track, where he built high-performance cars and shared his mechanical expertise. His love for speed also led him to cherish riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and enjoying the outdoors. Known for his zest for life, quick sense of humor, and fondness for NASCAR, he preferred simple pleasures over television or other distractions.
Darren was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Milloway, and his stepmother, Avonna Kay Milloway. He is survived by his father, Richard Milloway of Tulia; his children, Zachary Milloway of Tulia, Dakota Lippon and husband Taylor of Amarillo, and Jennifer Milloway and fiancé Bryson Barnett of Amarillo; his sisters, Teresa Covington and husband Robby of Chandler and Claudia Walker and husband Chris of Amarillo; and his grandson, Wyatt Lippon, who is on the way.
