Darrell Melton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Collier Funeral Home - Benton on Mar. 9, 2026.Darrell "Rolo" Melton, 67 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.Darrell was born in Murray, Kentucky on June 25, 1958 to the late Floyd Melton and Dixie June (Bailey) Melton. He worked in maintenance for TreeHouse Foods. Darrell was a huge fan of the UK Wildcat basketball team and loved the CATS through and through. He also enjoyed everything about the beach, especially Destin, Florida.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol King Melton; daughter, Trinity Wade Melton; son, Aaron Cole Melton; sister, Jo Anne York; and his grandson, Christian Cole Melton, all of Benton, KY, and multiple nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Melton and parents.A graveside service will be held at Pettit Cemetery (LBL) in Dover, TN at a later date.Collier Funeral Home & Cremation Services are handling all arrangements.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
