Darlene M Wright

Darlene Wright, 73, formerly of Tama, Iowa, and most recently of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on March 9, 2026.

Born on July 22, 1952, in Iowa, Darlene was the daughter of Eldon and Mable (Holan) Neitzel. She taught sixth grade for many years in Petersburg, Iowa. She found great joy in gardening, had a deep love for animals, and cherished taking long walks.

She is survived by her son, Anthony (Samantha) Wright; her former husband, Larry Wright; her brother, David Neitzel of Tama, Iowa; and her sister, Diane (Dennis) Schumacher of Nebraska. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Mable Holan Neitzel; her sister, Mary Ann Neitzel; sister-in-law, Judy Neitzel; and nephews, Douglas Neitzel, Brian Neitzel, and Timothy Schumacher.
