Darlene Faye Muthersbaugh

Darlene Faye Muthersbaugh, 91, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on her family’s farm near Valparaiso on June 14, 1934, to John J. and Dorothy I. (Winter) Krafka, she graduated from Valparaiso High School before moving to Lincoln. Over the years she worked at Gold’s Department Store, the Elgin Watch Factory, the Cornhusker Hotel, Janzten Warehouse, and Farmer’s Mutual Insurance Company.

Darlene was married to Don R. Muthersbaugh for 65 years until his passing in 2021. She loved her family more than anything and remained an active and devoted grandmother, faithfully attending sporting events, concerts, and countless other activities. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Scott) Shaner; sons, Mickey (Carol) and Alan (Kelly) Muthersbaugh; grandchildren, Nicholas Muthersbaugh, Samantha Muthersbaugh, Amanda (Dalton) Kapke, Brad (Emma) Shaner, Matt (MaKayla) Muthersbaugh, and AJ (Averie) Muthersbaugh; great-grandchildren, Cora Kapke, Charlie and Austin Muthersbaugh; sister, Donna (Jim) Rall; brothers, Arnold (Darlene) Krafka and Jack Krafka; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, and her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tom Tracy.
