Darion Ottman Jones was born in Laclede County on Dec. 17, 2005. On June 7 of 2011 he became a special part of John and Debra Jones' family and on Feb. 13, 2013, he was officially adopted.Darion graduated from Bolivar High School in 2024. He began dating Sadie Reynolds in February of 2025 and in November they welcomed their son, Bexley Reynolds-Jones, whom Darion adored. Darion enjoyed games, soccer, travel and dogs, especially his loved pup, Blake. His absolute favorite thing was spending time with friends. Darion will be remembered for his infectious laugh, witty sense of humor, big heart and dedication to his friends. Darion became a Christian at the young age of 7 but made a profession of faith and was re-baptized with a more mature understanding at the age of 13. His life verse of James 1:19 was important to him and was something he referred back to and shared with others as a reminder to himself.Darion is survived by his parents John and Debbie Jones; brothers Jake (Marissa) Jones and Ian (Megan) Jones; fiancée Sadie Reynolds, son Bexley Reynolds-Jones; grandparents, Jim and Anne Jones and Jim and Linda Appleby; uncle, Jim (Cheri) Jones; aunt, Mandee Burt; nephew, Quentin Jones and cousins, Ashton (Kyle) Rutherford; Alexandra Jones; Tanner Burt; and Tucker Burt. He also leaves behind many close friends. Darion will be greatly missed.A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, March 6, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.Memorial contributions can be made to FosterAdopt Connect of Springfield or Polk County Humane Society.
