Daria Anne Nafziger

Daria Nafziger (née Chomyk), 72, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 11, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, Daria lived a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to family and friends. Proud of her Ukrainian heritage, she had a special gift for bringing people together. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Rod, and together they built a blended family grounded in love and togetherness. For ten years, they owned Ciao Gelato in Venice, where they formed lasting friendships with people from around the world. She was a devoted mother to William Bean and Jonathan (Teresa) Bean; stepmother to Douglas Nafziger and Natalie (Tony) Letterio; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother; loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anastasia and Antin Chomyk; her in-laws, Donna and Maurice Nafziger; and her brother, Michael. A Visitation will be held 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Monday, March 9th, 2026, at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida.
