December 16, 1964— March 10, 2026
Agra, KS
Darcie Anne Bailey, a longtime resident of Agra, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on December 16, 1964, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Elmer Fisher and Alyce Marie Goerndt-Magill, she was raised by her mother and Jay Magill.
She married Alan Dwayne Bailey on July 14, 1988, at Fox Lake in Cassidy, Kansas. Together they had one daughter, Holly. Darcie spent much of her career as a CNA, where her natural compassion and caring nature allowed her to form many lasting friendships.
Darcie approached life with kindness and a gentle spirit, always ready to help anyone in need. She found joy in watching Nebraska Football, attending country concerts, and spending time with family and friends, both creating new memories and cherishing old ones. She loved shopping with her close friend Gail, celebrating Christmas with Holly, and sharing long drives with Alan to admire the beauty of the world around them. Their marriage was marked by deep love and laughter, with Darcie keeping Alan on his toes throughout their years together.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Bailey of Agra, Kansas; her daughter, Holly Bailey of Broomfield, Colorado; her lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Angela Rhoades of Eureka, Kansas; brother-in-law Leslie (Michelle) Bailey of Warner, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Dee Swartz of New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Sophie, Aspen, and Coco, and her grand-dog Trixie, with whom she shared a special bond. Darcie was preceded in death by her mother Alyce Magill, father Jay Magill, brother Jack Fisher, brother-in-law Robert Bailey, father-in-law William “Bill” Bailey, and mother-in-law Karolyn Kinsey.
