Dayton, OH

Danny Yoho, 65, of Dayton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio.

Born on August 10, 1960, in Athens, Ohio, he was the son of the late Donald E. Yoho and Carrie M. Dowler. A 1979 graduate of Athens High School, Danny attended the Ohio State School of Cosmetology from 1982 to 1985. He enjoyed a long career in hairstyling, holding positions as a Master Stylist and manager, and worked as a platform artist early in his professional life. He later transitioned into nursing after graduating from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.

Danny was known for his outgoing nature, his genuine desire to help others, and his natural talent for solving problems. He approached each day with careful organization and planning, served as a trusted confidant to many, and remained a true people person throughout his life. Deeply family oriented, he cherished gatherings filled with cookouts, holidays, and birthdays. He loved to travel, particularly to beach destinations, and was devoted to his dog Sammy, who brought him immense joy. Above all, he treasured his role as an uncle and was a loving partner, brother, and friend to those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his partner, Dustin C. McClure; his beloved dog Sammy; four sisters, Teresa J. Capers (Christopher), Angela Robertson (Brian), Keri Yoho Dodge (Christopher), and Danita L. Sharp (Davy); one stepsister, Dee Dowler Staten; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Yoho; nieces and nephews Rachael, Stacie, Natasha, Tyree, Andrew, Kirsten, Julienne, Kailyn, Morgan, Emmalee, and David; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. Yoho Jr. and Michael W. Yoho; his stepfather, Dennis L. Dowler Sr.; one stepbrother, Dennis L. Dowler; and a great-niece, Kyndel Roop.
