He was born on February 8, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Douglas and Connie Russell.Danny had a passion for cooking and attended culinary school to pursue what he loved most. He found happiness in preparing meals and sharing his gift with others. Cooking was more than skill to him – it was part of who he was. Danny also loved traveling and often spoke fondly about his time in Florida and his wish to return one day.Danny is survived by his loving parents Douglas and Connie Russell; his brother an best friend Wayne, his sisters Dianna (Thomas), Laura (Bell), Karlee, Colleen (Parker) and his brother Davonte.He was preceded in death by his brothers Mark and Randy Russell, his grandparents, his uncle Jim, and several other beloved family members.Danny will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, his caring heart, and his love for his family will always be remembered. Those who knew Danny will remember his passion for life and the warmth he brought to those around him.We find comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before him.Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4444 South Early Duke Street, West Valley City, Utah. Viewing will take place from 11:00-12:00pm. Funeral Service will begin in the chapel at 12:00pm.Graveside services will be at 1:30pm following the conclusion of the funeral service at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A luncheon will be held after the interment back at the church.Danny, we love you and hope you are finally at peace. May the angels be waiting for you at heaven's gate.
