Danielle Marie Alexander
January 24, 1974— March 8, 2026
Sterling Heights, MI
Danielle Marie Alexander, age 52, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on January 24, 1974, she lived a life defined by compassion, laughter, and a deep love for the people around her.
The beloved daughter of the late Anthony Gargano and Patricia Gargano, and adored stepdaughter of Joanne Martin, Danielle carried forward the kindness and warmth she learned from her family into every part of her life. For 25 years, she dedicated her career to early childhood education. Working with children was her true calling. She had an extraordinary ability to make kids feel safe, loved, and valued, while calmly managing the chaos, sticky fingers, and endless questions that came with the territory. Her impact will live on in the countless young lives she helped shape.
Danielle was a caring, generous, and deeply loving person whose heart was always bigger than any room she entered. She loved vacations, shopping trips, and making memories with friends and family. Whether finding the perfect deal, planning the next getaway, or simply spending time with those she loved, she knew how to enjoy life and encouraged others to do the same.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Alexander, who shared life’s adventures with her and stood by her side through everything, and her beloved cat, Baxter, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship. Danielle also leaves behind her siblings: John (Tracy) and their son Johnny; Gina (Mike) and their sons Mike and Andrew; Anthony (Kaitlyn) and their sons Wilhem and Anthony; and Ryan (Erin) and their sons Mario and Angelo. She was a devoted sister, aunt, godmother, and friend who loved her family fiercely.
Danielle will be remembered for her warm heart, her generosity, and the way she made people feel like family—even if they had just met her. In a final act of generosity, she chose to give the Gift of Life through organ donation, continuing to help others even after her passing. She left a little sparkle everywhere she went, and the love and joy she shared will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
