Danielle A. Duncan

Danielle A. Duncan passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois. Born on August 13, 1990 in Kankakee, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Danny and Dorleskia Duncan.

Danielle is survived by her sister Tammy Mullins, her brother Jared (Alicia) Duncan, her grandparents Everett and Elsie Duncan and Ann Ciaccio, aunts Deb Smestad and Joy Ciaccio, and uncles Douglas (Rosie) Duncan and Daryl Duncan. She leaves behind her beloved dog Roman, who is lovingly cared for by her dear friend Eric. She was preceded in death by her mother Veronica Duncan (née O’Connor), her brother Zachary Duncan, her maternal grandfather Ronald O’Connor, and her cousin Andy Castro.

Danielle found her greatest joy in time spent with family, especially her nieces and nephew Taylor, Jenna, Serena, Elijah, Vivienne, Samantha, and Lily, as well as her many longtime friends. She had an extraordinary love for animals and built her life around them, working as a dog groomer and walker at Top Dog Grooming in Saunemin, Illinois, where she was deeply appreciated by clients and coworkers alike. A creative free spirit, she enjoyed painting, sewing, traveling with friends, and celebrating all things Halloween. Above all, Danielle was known for her fierce loyalty. To those in her inner circle, she was the true “ride or die,” the friend who could be called anytime for anything.
