He was predeceased by: his parents, Olan Lindsey York and Bessie Mae Hutcherson York; and his sister Jean Brown. He is survived by: his wife Martha Owens York of Monroeville; his daughters, Dani York Cruitt (Todd) of Monroeville and Brittany York (Lyle Sache) of Monroeville; his brother Linzie York (Phyllis) of Frisco City; his granddaughter Kathryn Farnell (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Mary Farnell and Charlotte Farnell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Monroe Chapel Funeral Home (2252 US-84, Frisco City, AL 36445). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Belleville Baptist Church Cemetery.
