Daniel Robert Reimer
April 25, 1982— March 9, 2026
Pollock, LA
Daniel Robert Reimer was born on April 25, 1982, in Tulare, California, and passed away on March 9, 2026, in Pollock, Louisiana.
Dan was the devoted husband of 24 years to his high school sweetheart, Ellie. Together they embraced both the joys and the challenges of life with love, patience, and unwavering commitment. Deeply dedicated to the principles of Scripture, Truth, and the pursuit of an honest and sincere faith, he continually sought to love his wife well and to pass on whatever wisdom and faith he could to his family and to those he shepherded.
He was the proud father of four children and a foster father to eight others, as well as the “practically adopted dad” to many more—some even older than himself. One young person even wrote an “officially belonging” contract on a napkin, which Dan gladly signed. Through these relationships, he embodied the love, mercy, and compassion of the Heavenly Father, always willing to walk with people through life’s difficult seasons.
A pastor to many both inside and beyond church walls, Dan led by example and was never afraid to live transparently in his faith and life. His leadership, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by the New Home Fellowship community and by all whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by Dennis Mahaffey, Robert Nebbe, Grazia Nebbe, Raymond Reimer, and Matilda Reimer. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Michael and Vanda Reimer; his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Ellie) Reimer; his children, Logan Matthew, Kaitlyn Tamara, Jonathan Daniel and Aidyn Christopher Reimer; his brothers, Matthew Reimer and Christopher Reimer and wife Liz; his sister, Amber Mahaffey; and his in-laws, Timothy Wenzig, Theresa Wenzig, Tamara Wenzig, Edward Wenzig, and Elaine Wenzig.
